Thomas & Maria Cooper

At the Petty Sessions held on Tuesday 30th October 1866, Police Inspector Curtis proved Thomas Cooper had harboured a police constable, whilst on duty. The constable had been discovered in the pub drinking and smoking with a soldier.

Thomas Cooper was fined £1.00 and costs

The following year, (1867), the licences for the premises was refused, presumably for this offence, however, it was later granted on appeal.
